As you sit in front of the open fire, or listen to the water in the lade that once powered mills, I hope you will relax and restore. As you soak in the colours and the light, or sup on local food, I hope you will feel inspired in some way. And when you leave, I hope you will feel connected too, having been part of “Digby”, and will want to return to experience again something extraordinary.
As we turned the ideas into reality, I was working in Africa, and much of the art and decoration is from there. The art reflects a land that has had its share of hardship, but also one of incredible creativity. And it all connected to the fire of the iron, the carved granite and stone, the well-worked wood and the local crafts people and builders who put it all together.
